Description
Panasonic Lumix S 50 mm F/1.8
The Panasonic Lumix S 50mm F/1.8 is a prime lens with a large maximum aperture of F/1.8 that is suitable for the L Mount system. This lens is the second addition to four similar-sized lenses in the Lumix S series and with the operating controls in the same position, making it extremely practical to use. The optical construction of the Lumix S 50mm F/1.9 consists of nine lens elements in eight groups, including three aspherical lenses, an ED (Extra-Low Dispersion) lens and a UHR (Ultra-High Refractive Index) lens. The three aspherical lenses provide both excellent image reproduction and beautiful bokeh effects. The ED lens effectively minimises chromatic aberration. The nine blade circular aperture enables lovely circular shapes in a blurred background with an open aperture.
The Lumix S 50mm F/1.8 is suitable for e.g. portraits and landscapes, but it also performs excellently for video recordings thanks to a mechanism that suppresses focus breathing. By employing micro-step aperture control that allows smooth exposure adjustment, this lens gives you professional-quality video recordings. Plus, its compact size and weight of just 300 grams make it ideal to take it with you on any shoot; it is also dust and splash proof and can withstand temperatures down to -10 degrees Celsius.
